From the family’s own estate, Alberto concentrates on making traditional Chianti styles with an innovative and modern approach to viticulture & winemaking.  All Poggiotondo wines show a strong expression of the terroir in which the grapes are grown, but through modern winemaking techniques, the wines are easy to drink and consumer friendly.

LA SPINETTA

With their love and respect for tradition and their passion for ‘bollicine’ (sparkling wine) is it no wonders they are rated in the top two wineries in Italy. La Spinetta was founded in 1977 and now spans 165 hectares between Piedmont and Tuscany. La Spinetta means ‘top of the hill’ and refers to the location of their first cellar in Castagnole Lanze, Piedmont.
